Yolanda Miranda-Hill is one of the founding members of this generation of BPW/Tallahassee. She previously served as President. In 2014, Yolanda returned to the Board as President-Elect and she took over the President's position in November last year. Yolanda works for the Florida Department of Education and has her own online marketing business, www.ShopNow2Earn.com.

General Standing Committees

Finance: Prepares an annual budget for the local organization, has general supervision of all expenditures, assists the local organization in developing a sound financial policy, and coordinates fundraising efforts.



Foundation: Promotes interest in and support of the National Business and Professional Women’s Foundation and the Education Foundation of The Florida Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. One member of the committee shall serve as the liaison between the local organization and the Florida State University BPW Scholarship House. One member of the committee shall serve as the BPW/Florida Foundation liaison.

Legislative: Carries out the legislative programs adopted by the state and the national federations. The committee shall study local legislative needs in order to make recommendations to the local organization.

Suzanne Martin

Membership: Promotes, expands, stabilizes, and orients the membership and coordinates and conducts induction ceremonies.

Professional Development: Organizes and coordinates an individual development program for the membership, plans and schedules speakers for the monthly meetings, plans and implements a well-coordinated annual program based on federation objectives.




Public Relations & Networking Socials: Presents national, state and local programs and activities through available news media and maintains website. Coordinates quarterly networking socials.

Young Careerist: Encourages recruitment of young people between the ages of 21-35 into membership, organizes and coordinates the young careerist program, and promotes activities that involve the participation of young people between the ages of 21-35.

Community Service/Civic: Coordinates community service/civic projects in the Tallahassee area.

Fundraising: Coordinates fundraisers to help raise money for local organization.
